TRACK:  Track practice after school till 5:30.  The Giant Invite Track meet in Clifton is scheduled for tomorrow.  Bus times are 7:45.

Scholastic Bowl: Next meet is Tuesday, April 17, here vs. Crescent City.  Also, Wednesday will be the Twin County Tournament meet. We are hosting that meet and the tournament will kick-off at 4:00.  Good Luck, Raiders.

Team Corn Detasseling:   Team Corn Detasseling is hiring students for the summer.  Work with your friends this summer. There are local pick up sites and local fields.  Earn from $7.75 to $10.00 per hour depending on your ability. The season starts around July 10th and runs for 10 to 15 days.  Pick up a form in the information center, TODAY!!!

Spring Monster Contest: The library is hosting a Spring Monster Contest to scare away winter!  This contest started April 2nd and ends April 20th. The monster design can be no bigger than 12” by 12”.  The monster must be school appropriate, hand-drawn, an original design, must have color, partners are optional (no more than two).  Please turn entries into Mrs. Dieken in the library. The prize for the winner will be either a McDonald’s or Burger King meal served the week of April 23rd.   

Happy Birthday:  Happy Birthday today to Isabel Lunt, Thomas Jefferson, and Mrs. Izquierdo.  Wish Mrs. Izquierdo a pleasant 40th birthday today, just try to speak up for her to hear it.  Also, Happy birthday tomorrow to Brian Diaz and to Kamden Kimmel on Sunday!!! Happy birthday ALL!!!

Don’t Punt; Go For It:  On Thomas Jefferson’s headstone at his grave, it commemorates that he was the Father of the University of Virginia, the author of the Declaration of Independence, and the author of the statute for religious freedom.  He did not wish to have the fact that he was our 3rd president on his epitaph because he called being the president of the United States, “splendid misery.”
