BOYS BASKETBALL: Practice today from 5:30-7:30.  Congratulations to both Boys Basketball teams who won on Saturday in the Twin County Conference Tournament to advance to the semifinals. 7th grade beat Tri-Point to move on to play PBL tomorrow at 6:45 in Cullom. 8th grade outlasted GCMS and will also play PBL at 6:45 at Piper City. Bus time for both teams will be 5:15.

Cheerleading: Congratulations to the cheerleaders who took first place in the Twin County Conference Cheer Competition on Saturday!  There is NO cheerleading practice tonight.

Wrestling: Practice tonight from 3:30-6:00pm.

Volleyball: First day of practice TODAY 3:30-5:30 for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Tryouts will be Thursday, December 14th from 4:00-6:00 pm. The coaches expect you at every practice until tryouts.

PE: PE today in the gym.

Scholastic Bowl: There will be a sign up sheet on the office door today. Please sign up if interested!

Art Club: 6th grade art club meets Wednesday after school until 4:30. Make sure you have a ride.

Keyboarding: Please bring headphones to class today.

Mr. Torbeck’s: 7th graders, please bring coloring tools to science today.

Library:  Due to the overwhelming number of overdue books and book fines, as of tomorrow ( Wed.) you will no longer be able to check out  a book in the library if you have an overdue book or a fine.  IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO RETURN BOOKS ON TIME AND PAY ANY FINES YOU OWE.  Once you’ve taken care of what you owe you may check out books again.

Library:   We are looking for your favorite books for the ‘BRIGHT READS FOR THE HOLIDAYS’ board in the library. Drop by the library and write the title of your favorite book, the author and your name on a Christmas light and we will put it on the board. At the end of the quarter we will do a random drawing and 3 lucky winners will get a gift card for McDonald’s.

Fannie May candy money is due on December 18.  Thanks for your cooperation.  

Don’t Punt; Go For It:  Here is today’s Christmas fact:   The world’s largest Christmas stocking measured 106 feet and 9 inches (32.56 m) long and 49 feet and 1 inch (14.97 m) wide. It weighed as much as five reindeer and held almost 1,000 presents. It was made by the Children’s Society in London on December 14, 2007.
